It looks like the situation with Pastor Rishat
is very serious. According to our sources he
will be accused for activity against the constitution
of Uzbekistan. They plan on using statute nr 159
against him. This is a very serious accusation.
Our believers told us that the situation in the country
is getting worse. Now it is dangerous to carry even
one Bible or any other piece of religious literature
with you. The local authorities don’t make any
distinction between different religions. If it is
religious, it already is considered illegal and connected
with terrorism.

This is just a note to say that many believers will be praying for brother Rishat in North America this weekend and also that contact with Voice of the Martyrs has been made to continue encouraging prayer support for him.
